touch.connect.care – a digital solution for person-centered care design

touch.connect.care

A digital solution for person-centered care design

Everyday nursing care is particularly characterized by contact with fellow human beings: caregiver and person to be cared for, social service and nursing staff, relative and caregiver. For this reason, nursing in particular can benefit from a trusting, attentive and open approach to one another: Because understanding and empathy for the other person are necessary to maintain quality of life as long as possible through emotional and mental activation.

A key to enabling this access is the biography, personality and also the current state of mind of the person being cared for, This information is fed from a wide variety of sources: from memories and conversations, spontaneous situations in everyday life, or mediated by relatives and friends.

Against this background, we have launched this project with our partners d-fine and avendi Senioren Service: We are investigating the feasibility, acceptance and impact of a digital solution that helps bring together biographical information and make it available to caregivers in a way that can be used in everyday care in a low-threshold way: quickly and effectively. This should help caregivers to resonate more with their counterparts and thus make care even more personal and individual.

On this basis, there are many possibilities for expansion: From working with personality profiles to supporting the formulation of measures, e.g. for the prevention of depression, further use cases are explored in this project.
